A county agency that helps veterans and their families. VA-accredited service officers prepare and file VA disability and pension claims at no cost. Eligible veterans can also apply for one-time emergency help with rent, utilities, food vouchers, prescriptions, and burial costs, and for van rides to the Danville and St. Louis VA medical centers and the Peoria VA clinic. All assistance requires an application and eligibility review.
